Beutespähwagen BA-10M mit 2cm KwK 30 L/55 (German)

Description The Beutespähwagen BA-10M mit 2cm KwK 30 L/55 was a German field conversion of a captured Soviet BA-10M armoured car, retrofitted with a 2cm KwK 30 L/55 autocannon. Following the rapid advances on the Eastern Front, the Wehrmacht seized large quantities of Soviet equipment, often repurposing it to suit their tactical needs. The BA-10M, originally armed with a 45mm gun, was adapted to carry the German 2cm cannon, commonly found on early Panzer II tanks. This modification transformed the BA-10M into a light reconnaissance and fire-support vehicle, capable of engaging soft targets and light armour with improved rate of fire and ammunition compatibility. The KwK 30 offered better integration with German logistics, while the BA-10M’s mobility and armour remained largely unchanged.
